i go to sleep as
the cat told me,
him now on my legs
heavy , in trance
i go to dream, i dive
under the seven seas
where i will find you,
breathing , air rising
from you and
from your seven dwarfs,
you have slept
with seven poisons
for seven years
must i kiss you
to flow up together
or must we sink or float
in the deep cold blue
or can we fly in mid air
for a time as wild geese,
fly in the seven skies
next to each other
or walk the seven hills,
the autumn orchards,
with the scent of apples
and of sweet plums
can i take your load:
I'd carry your school bag
for part of the way
and fill it with ladybugs,
sandalwood, fresh hay:
there is nothing in books,
i will hide them
under rocks on the way
in a rose coloured dawn,
seven wishes for morning,
seven for the night:
to sail the seven seas
and dance with dwarfs
into the dusk behind trees,
grow in the forest
and out in the fields
where the ticking of clocks
and the call of chimes
will sink into silence,
with rhythms and music
to take us across time
and out of the coffins
in which we had hidden
seven times,
with seven poisons,
seven times,
with seven poisons,
for seven years
under seven seas
