so, with the stars so
far and so near,
us dancing our karmic
song, ancestors pulsing
in our genes, woven
into our origin, so,
us suffering and singing,
with our mirrors so broken,
so, us with weighed down
wings, two leg daughters
and sons in precarious
balance, we must embrace
and forgive the past as
we must forgive ourselves,
forgive each other,
step for step for step
until we reach the river,
to rinse our eyes,
to wash our mind,
to forget or we cannot
be alive nor die.
i wish you could hold
me when i stumble.
this is all.
if not i find a stick
for my pilgrimage
to lean on to
and to fight for my way.
i will let it go
when the time comes
to sit on top of a
mountain with the wind
there i dry my tears
and let my unrest go
with the birds,
i will be still. so.
