A gift of roses,Jethro Tull
I count the hours: you count the days.
Together, we count the minutes in this Passion Play.
Walk dusty miles.
And I ride that train
On a first class ticket, just to be with you again.
Together, we count the minutes in this Passion Play.
Walk dusty miles.
And I ride that train
On a first class ticket, just to be with you again.
Picking up tired feet.
Back from a far horizon.
Cleaned up and brushed down.
Dressed to look the part.
Back from a far horizon.
Cleaned up and brushed down.
Dressed to look the part.
Fresh from God's garden, I bring a gift of roses:
To stand in sweet spring water and press them to your heart.
To stand in sweet spring water and press them to your heart.
Like the Kipling cat, I walk alone
Never inviting trouble, never casting the stone.
But this badge of honor is of tarnished tin.
Light your guiding beacon to bring this fisher in.

this evening sky
this evening sky reddening
like a young girl
first time aware
of her beauty,
soft breasts
with pink buds,
pulsing together
with breath and heart
and the furry animal
between her thighs,
ashamed to be
recognized as woman
and embarrassed to
like the compliments
of fluffy clouds,
of flirting birds
blushing being seen,
suddenly knowing
another mystery,
wonder in her eyes
this red is not
ashamed nor does
it know itself
nor me
this sky filling with stars
and night closing in,
the river a black mirror,
a bitter taste reflecting
flow of dark and death.
all is so awake,
the last crow calls
a lost soul, who.
the wind pauses
and spring makes
the water sing:
the gates open
and open
and open,
sleep the healer,
like a young girl
first time aware
of her beauty,
soft breasts
with pink buds,
pulsing together
with breath and heart
and the furry animal
between her thighs,
ashamed to be
recognized as woman
and embarrassed to

death release.
this evening sky
reddening,
turning night,
and horses
chewing grass
relentlessly,
in innocence,
out in the fields
i open my car
and take it all
with me, a song,
for this what it is.
Yes,heart of sunrise
Love comes to you and you follow
Lose one on to the heart of the sunrise
Sharp distance
How can the wind with its arms
All around me
Lose one on to the heart of the sunrise
Sharp distance
How can the wind with its arms
All around me
Lost on a wave and then after
Dream on on to the heart of the sunrise
Sharp distance
How can the wind with so many around me
Lost in the city
Dream on on to the heart of the sunrise
Sharp distance
How can the wind with so many around me
Lost in the city
Lost in their eyes as you hurry by
Counting the broken ties they decide
Love comes to you and then after
Dream on on to the heart of the sunrise
Lost on a wave that you're dreaming
Dream on on to the heart of the sunrise
Sharp distance
How can the wind with its arms all around me
Sharp distance
How can the wind with so many around me
I feel lost in the city
Counting the broken ties they decide
Love comes to you and then after
Dream on on to the heart of the sunrise
Lost on a wave that you're dreaming
Dream on on to the heart of the sunrise
Sharp distance
How can the wind with its arms all around me
Sharp distance
How can the wind with so many around me
I feel lost in the city
Lost in their eyes as you hurry by
Counting the broken ties they decided
Counting the broken ties they decided
Straight light moving and removing
Sharpness of the color sun shine
Straight light searching all the meanings of the song
Long last treatment of the telling that
Relates to all the words sung
Dreamer easy in the chair that really fits you
Sharpness of the color sun shine
Straight light searching all the meanings of the song
Long last treatment of the telling that
Relates to all the words sung
Dreamer easy in the chair that really fits you
Love comes to you and then after
Dream on on to the heart of the sunrise
Sharp distance
How can the wind with its arms all around me
Sharp distance
How can the wind with so many around me
I feel lost in the city
Dream on on to the heart of the sunrise
Sharp distance
How can the wind with its arms all around me
Sharp distance
How can the wind with so many around me
I feel lost in the city
Tomorrow We Sail, Eventide
Eventide
The cruel hands of time
That move so slowly
But tighten around my neck.
For I refuse to find the strength
To rage against
This cold and dying light
So cling to me as the evening falls
And the darkness outside grows
These eyes that raged like fire
have burnt their last
So set your face against the storm that bends
but does not break.
For here she comes
A heaven sent to rescue me
With flowers in her hair
And fire in her eyes
I lay these weary bones to rest
And take my place above the fires light
I have seen things you could not dream of
But I am just a step along the way

Waking
Woke up, I saw I turned the wrong side
Waited, awake but dreamy
Naked, wide awake on a journey.
You saw me, crawling around
I remained silent, otherwise I would have been so talkative
The night was so gloomy then
I was as worried as you.
Did you hear, every time my lips were speaking
Do you remember, what it was I was meaning
What it was, I was thinking then
I said, where I came from.
When I woke up
You were by my side
Then we have found peace
When I woke up.
Touch me, so that I know I'm alive
Desire me, so that I know I'm in love
You are my shade, my comfort.
