walking i danced
through these trees
and i caught the moon
in the branches
later this day
in another forest
my car got stuck
in deep snow
i learned that patience
never helps
nor digging and pulling
only acceptance
takes all weight.
and i could see beauty
in the wintry fields
of this night
i went to sleep
and woke before dawn
and it took time
to let all go
and to give myself
to the tides
and the sound
of wind and rain
life happens
and though i trust
in my dying
i am alive
with the pulse of time
and my dreams
of stars
and memories of light
i do not want to feel why i woke up though
“Overhead, the two moons worked together to bathe the world in a strange light.”
