I am just reading the national statistics on cases of death in 2015 for Germany.
Well, not much change.
Women still reach more frequently old age,
must be tougher..
not made for hunting but for endurance...
Half of the women who died in 2015 were 85 or older,
only one quarter of the men who died had reached this kind of age.
Cardiovascular diseases the first (ca. 40%), Cancer the second on the list from top (ca 25%).
Sum of deaths : 925 200
Alive inhabitants: about 82,8 millions
Now, the number of deaths is approximately the same in total for men and for women.
other genders are not in statistics...:-), sorry.
I don't really know what to do with these statistics.
Death cannot be prevented- and for many reasons we shouldn't try.
World population: 7.5 billion people, on the increase second by second, in spite of wars,
HIV, epidemic diseases, earth quakes, mud slides, floods and fires and tornados and mass accidents.
Everybody talks about melting ice in the polar regions, catastrophical changes in weather,
a lot of it attributed to the increase of carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere.
Carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels, methane from raising livestock and rice fields..
all true.
In its 2014 report, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 'showed' how the reduction through efficiency of CO2 emissions from fossil fuels was wiped out by population increase- as i can see the statistics were made up to please, so not wiped out but made worth only about half of what could be estimated as possible 'good' outcome.

One human produces a minimum of 380 kgs carbon dioxide yearly,
only if we were at rest all the time. in fact, it is much more.
On top of this we have the carbon dioxide emissions of animals, see animal farming.
I don't trust any statistics, but at a guess humans worldwide emit about 10%
of the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by industry alone. Netto, on top..
Quite clearly, from a view preserving life and planet: death must happen.
It does anyway.
And, in fact, birth control wouldn't be a bad idea.
The reduction of fossil emissions alone will never be enough,
and a stop to industrial animal "production" though useful and though i wish
it stopped as many humans do, from ethical grounds
and considered with intelligence and compassion: it will also not be enough.
to put political pressure on this issue, animal industry, there is the additional damage
and emissions from waste, wasted life, rotting meat..surplus food in western societies which build on consumerism, totally indifferent to other life forms, cruel like many colonialists,
walking blindly into their own destruction: they will be waste.
The balance in total is out of control.
