"The most important thing for me, in terms of practicing these three, is courage.
The courage to be vulnerable.
The courage to have fear and anxiety and still witness.
That’s what courage is, and not making a thing about it. Just functioning in that kind of courageous way—with our grief, with our sorrow, with our joy, with our aliveness.
And to me, that is where the aliveness, peace and joy live, when we’re not clinging to some habitual conditioned way of being.
We’re saying, yes, I have this conditioned way of being, but I’m going to move, and go forth."
