July 2016, breathing
with each breath in
i breathe you
and you me.
we breathe
we breathe the scent
of Genghis' steppes,
her ashes ,1431,
Jeanne d'Arc,
sand from the deserts,
thousands of years,
we breathe all
who died
and we breath
all alive,
we breathe dust
of long dead stars
we are a link
in a long chain,
we recycle
all beings
and all
recycle us
dead or alive
in this together
aware of
molecules of you
through the noise
of mind and past:
i talk to you-
please
breathe in my ear
and sleep
tonight.
tomorrow
we will walk,
be silent and talk.
