spring is being difficult

it is the time of year when color will win against white and life will bud under frost.
it is the time when green sprouts up from ashes and dead roots.
the warm winds arrived from the mountains, melting snow and hearts and heads.
frost and rain took turns, snow, clouds, ice, fog, storms, the fight of the seasons.
until now we have reason to think spring will win and summer will come, and maybe we will embrace and kiss in a gentle breeze.
in myself it is the same fight as in you, life and death. though we must die it does not mean that death is the winner. the cycles of nature shown to us do not show winners but life.
i will survive this way or another one in which i will give myself if i want to or not.

Golden Verses of Pythagoras...sleep and death, a link to theosophy

Golden Verses of Pythagoras:
Admit not sleep to thy drooping eyes,
Ere thou hast well reviewed each one of the day's deeds.
In what was I remiss? What did I do? What duty was not fulfilled?

"Sleep and death are brothers, according to the old Greek proverb. However, they are not merely brothers, born of the same fabric of human consciousness, but are in all verity one, identical."

"Sleep is largely an automatic functioning of the human consciousness; death is the same, but in immensely greater degree, and is a necessary habit of the consciousness in order that it may gain for the psychological part of the constitution a resting and an assimilation of experience."

be careful with this link.

i may agree with parts of what is written there,

but it is not important what is written, in books,
not important what is lectured, not important at all.
too many words, too much dogmatism, too much terminology.
and always, always, ideas, an effort for domination, somebody telling us he or she knows....

you must yourself find your way as i must find mine...

more food for thought

"This life is temporary; in the Middle Ages and the early Renaissance, the constant proximity of death and the lack of any miracle cures or drastic methods of resuscitation brought people, I think, to a much closer sense of this — a sense that has been deteriorating ever since.  People's sense of their own importance leads them to do terrible things; these young men who murdered the cartoonists and grocery store customers in Paris are an excellent example. These men— objectively violent and tragic to the rest of us — thought they were terribly important, and that what they were doing was terribly important. Perhaps that is the essence of terrorism — not the outward action, but the narcissistic tyranny of self that confers Godlike agency on us. It's one thing to grab an automatic rifle and kill people this way; yet I think that all of us, due to the action of this self-importance, indulge in thousands of tiny little acts of murder of compassion and love within ourselves all week long.

It's this inner dilemma from which all the outer actions spring; everything outward is an expression of an inward action. All these inward actions begin with the belief that I am important; and only the certain action that I ought to focus remarkably on the present moment, because I will die, seems to be a dose of medicine that could counteract it."

this link leads to the previous post here .:

"In failing to distinguish between the inner and the outer, and understanding that mindfulness (in so far as it works within one) addresses the inner, and the outer—

but not the intersection between the inner and the outer—

which is the terrifying location of consciousness itself, the location we forever avoid because of the difficulty of standing between these two powerful forces —

—we conceptualize.

I would say, generally speaking, that this tendency towards the superficial—which is relentless in this age of endless media and the growth industry of willful ignorance—has infiltrated the spiritual subsystems of cultures in the same way that it has contaminated everything else.

Now, this is a very important point, because the spiritual essence of a culture is the BIOS, the basic input output system, on which everything the culture represents is based. It lies embedded deep within the machinery of not only the culture itself, but the souls of the individuals that inhabit it; and when our attention spans grow short, our memories of tradition are abridged, and our commitment to the long, deep, essential pondering that is necessary for spiritual growth is abandoned, our culture decays, and everything along with it.

We live in an age where this form of degradation is not only accepted, it is celebrated."

remarks: concept of birth and death

i am not myself partularly concerned about birthdays.

i have a birthday each day, even when i don't notice,
but i try to experience this conscientiously.

there is no ground on which to walk for my soul,
there is no fixed path for my spirit to follow,
there is only a thin lifeline for my body to stay on this earth.
i am perishable as we all are.
i am hurt as we all are.
i was born naked, and i will die naked and i do love naked.

i have no plans. i repeat, i have no plans.

i am in confusion and clear at the same time, i feel lost, i feel and felt all this most days of my life.

i spend so much energy and myself all day, and coming home i need to go to my inner source,
using my own methods of  leaving, coming and being:
i see my dreams as dreams, my wishes as wishes, my fears as fears, my anger as anger and my irritation as irritation. i do not try to destroy these: i just let them be. and i let myself be.

when i cannot manage easily enough, i use writing.
i use it to put outward what is inside, then i let go.
a lonely communication with myself.

it is to die and to be born day for day.
it is called life.

and some days it would be so much easier to deal with this just with a smile and a hand to hold,
and some days it wouldn't be enough.
i know.

the joy of life, so precious.
laughter.
light.
sharing.
all.

you know.

aus :Sonnengesang, Franz von Assisi

CANTICUM FRATRIS SOLIS VEL LAUDES CREATURARUM

Praise be to Thee my Lord for our Sister Bodily Death
From whom no living man can flee;
Woe to them who die in mortal sin
But blessed they who shall be found in Thy most holy will;
To them the second death can do no harm.
