flowers:asking me on sex, one answer

flowers

especially
i liked the women
selling flowers,
young and smiling

with inviting hips
and supple arms,
i asked them out
after work

then the scent
of roses and musk
mixed in voluptuous
laziness and the

slowness of sex
when you hold
your breath
to stop time

and i asked the
pharmacist, the nurses,
the supermarket
lady who took my

cash and my voice,
a vibrating in her eyes,
a joy of life,
anticipation, adventure

and i went to book stores
with sunglasses,
and the ladies
wanted to know me,

they started to blush
or an impudent stare,
i was deceivingly soft
and a little weird, as needed

and time after time
in lust and wet kisses
i felt only well
when there was laughter

and when i could
sleep after
without the wish
to have breakfast alone

or i got bored
and escaped with excuses
nobody could believe:
such is greed,

ending with disgust,
and still,
i could never
get enough

until i knew
how to see.
what i wish:
this i cannot

ask nor take, it is to
give and be given,
to happen in its
own good time

it is love.

note: but then this i knew for long,
very long

choice is questionable

on a t-shirt
today:
if nothing goes right,
go left

one side a wall
i cannot climb,
the other a minefield
and hungry crocodiles

a storm blowing
in my face,
i cannot turn
because.

i tread slowly
but firm
to hold at least
my ground

hail breaks my specs,
i stumble,
but still
i walk on

when i fall
here alone
i die:
i don't want to.

because.

hope, Thich Nhat Hanh

"Hope is important because it make the present moment less difficult to bear.  If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear hardship today."

There are as many ways to unhappiness as we care to find
as long as we cannot believe in happiness.
We cannot hold the moment, but we can either enjoy it or at least courageously meet it.
A way is a way, we can see it as bad or just walk: it does not mean we HAVE to walk into a trap.

dreams

waking
from first sleep,
seen in a mirror
butterflies across waves,

hidden springs
in dried out valleys
covered with broken
twigs and salt,

a snake dreaming
in golden grass,
motionless lizards
guarding stones,

a wind of light
caressing caves
and sleepy dogs,
tickling ants

carrying their eggs,
moving the shadow of
a cloud in the desert,
crystallized energy

marking possible birth
and tracks in the sand:
i must have stopped
breathing
