peace

peace with another human
is in a silent agreement and
i could not find it when i searched.
an agreement in conception,
presence, deep acceptance
and warm welcome.
all.
when not in conception and intention it is impossible. and i cannot let it be there, cannot let it happen to me.
i should stay forever in conflict with me.
when there is no way to stop words
all signals to just remain inside and let go.
and this goes of course for both.
i see.

offering

i offer freedom
the one you want
and need so much.
i have given

what i could.
freedom is not
for free and
is without me

and for me
without you.
i'll go with
a freedom

i never wanted.
it is not my way,
i am free in
another sphere.

when there can
be no morning
in the night of past
and shadow of fear

we will not
find sense.
presence
without a step

across the abyss
of thought
means nothing
and leaves

a taste of moth
balls in my mouth
and wrinkles
in my skin.

as our paths
cannot meet
through words,
as the nightingale

has not called
me back under
the green trees
in all my solitude

i ask to shed
your skin and mine
and walk into
a freedom unknown

with a rose in  heart
and a thorn
in our hands:
as it was so it will be:

if this must be all.
but we
will be
free.

Patti Smith, Gimme Shelter

Rudolf, Steiner, The Philosophy of Freedom, quotes

"Live through deeds of love,
and let others live with understanding for each person's unique intentions."

"A moral misunderstanding, a clash, is out of the question between people who are morally free.
Only one who is morally unfree, who obeys bodily instincts or conventional demands of duty, turns away from a fellow human being if the latter does not obey the same instincts and demands as himself."

Rudolf Steiner, The Philosophy of Freedom

But the first may be only possible by letting another one be and go.
In this way the second is not a turning away
but giving up and this can be an offering of freedom.
it happens.
The first is a good way, the second cannot be a request
and appears to me as an avuncular moralizing statement in itself.

the impossible

i tried.
i also tried cherries, cheese, meat, fish, cake,
bread, butter, wine, grapes, toilet paper and
to shave my face, to shed my skin, to hide in a corner
and to walk into the sun.
i tried.
i won't try to clap with one hand.
i am not that mad.
just crazy.
