Galicia

light
filled with light
which flows
all around
and through

Costa da Morte
the wild waves
eating rocks,
sand shimmering
for endless miles,
lush greens

and the end
of the earth
Fisterra,
lost in fog
and to stare down
into the tumult of hell
a boiling sea
roaring from deep

a mystery in stones
and sculptures.
Camelle,
where O Aleman
withstood the raging wind
and the bone gnawing sun
for forty years,
putting stone on stone
in loneliness

The garden
of Yoshiro Tachibana
where beauty meets peace
and shadow the light
Galicia,
a meditation

and the faros,
exposed to
the forces of nature
signposts,
watchtowers,
lighthouses,
symbols
of how
to navigate
between life
and death

Corcubion,
the faro with
bricked up windows
and a door
with a rusty lock
which we longed
to break open
to move inside

Galicia,
two children
two hearts
on a journey
into light
and peace

Galicia,
a jewel in my heart.
and you
shimmering there
through my clouds.
